About

Ben (Benoît) Wilhelmi, 39, is Belgian. He has been living in Arusha, Tanzania, for more than eight years. He is a professional pilot. Ben started there as a volunteer pilot for Flying Medical Service, a humanitarian NGO, for three years. Ben now flies for the tourism industry.

Tanzania provides many opportunities to fulfill a passion for photography including aerials. Ben has been using mainly conventional equipment as Leica M and old Nikon F bodies but recently joined the digital world with a Nikon D200.

A photo editing software is just used to reframe pictures and to work on contrast and luminosity... The idea is to represent faithfully the facts as they happen.

Ben had his 1^st Exhibition, "Tanzania ...Aerial Perspective" at Arusha Coffee Lodge, in Arusha from 6^th to 9^th December 2008.
